Addiction
A boy who feeds his unhealthy addiction; a diet of smoke and harmful substances.
Feeling helpless to
Break-free.
Being tortured by the consequences
While struggling with the next addiction.
It only continues to get harder
With every puff you take, and with every pill, you swallow.
Telling yourself tomorrow will be the day,
But the pain continues, for you, and for us..
Your family.
The struggle is like an ongoing battle.
Would you believe when you started
This at only age eighteen, that it would do this?
Staring at your reflection in the mirror,
Asking “Why, why did I do this?”
Saying you’ll remove yourself,
But here we are again.
To the next generation of users
Taken away by a killer drug
That they thought would set them
Free.
