Sun Goddess
She was gold, sunkissed and perfect.
Like a dream she glowed. Humble and sweet.
A taste of honey. Flowers bloomed at her feet.
An angel, so pure. How’d it get like this?
A girl so kind and forgiving.
On her knees, crying and begging.
The Sun didn’t shine, tear stained cheeks as she says she’s fine.
She looks at grey skies with dull eyes.
Sun Goddess will rise again soon, but for now here’s the Moon.
