Years Go By
Years go by from the day
Time flies and we remember
We remember the brief death
The families who went without
Years go by and we see the change
Our country develops, and we rebuild
Life gets hard and people forget
We forget the pain we felt
People move on and it fades away
Years go by and the lives are still lost
The memories last, the children grew up
They went without some of their parents
They know how bad it feels worse than anyone
Years go by and the lives are still lost
The memories dissolve into a single day
Life goes on and we wish we could change it all
We are a nation, together we stand, and together we fall
