The timing always kills me.
Blissful to tragic,
Hopeful to hopeless.
A split second and I️ am no longer happy.
My disappointments aren’t led up to,
I️ have no prolonged warning.
So many plans are thrown away,
The future I️ looked forward to is something I️’m still yearning.

The unexpectedness is the most painful aspect.
The news, the decision is thrown so abruptly in my face.
You cannot defend yourself,
Cannot explain your choices,
Your words, your actions.
My confusion overwhelms me,
What else did you expect?

The timing always kills me,
Because I’m so blinded by the lies.
I️ convince myself we are perfect as can be,
When in all reality,
There’s no such thing as untouched clear skies.

My disappointments aren’t led up to,
My prolonged warning is nonexistent.
What else am I️ to do,
But wish we stayed consistent.
Intentional or not, betrayal is still my living anxiety,
Because I’ve grown accustomed to the disappointing fate.
I️ must now remember you for your notoriety,
Despite your attempts to compensate.

The timing always kills me,
Blissful to tragic.
A split second and I️ am no longer happy.
I️ suppose there’s no such thing as being enough,
Because you could do nothing wrong and still end up rebuffed.
