Shark
I look to my right,
blue.
I look to my left,
blue.
I look up,
blue.
“ Oh no” I think.
I’ve lost the reef,
Which is one of a fishes,
worst fears.
I try to calm myself down,
When something gray floats by,
my stomach somersaults,
I don’t even bother to try and calm myself down,
I look behind me and see it,
A SHARK
At this point I know death is near.
I stared into the sharks black,
Beady eyes,
Waiting for death to come,
but the shark’s attention,
turned to something else
I follow his gaze,
and see a piece of meat bobbing up and down,
by instinct alone,
I dashed at the meat,
But the shark knocked me over,
And attacked the meat.
But as soon as he pulled,
The shark got yanked up out of the water,
I look to my right.,
blue
I look to my left,
blue.

Dear, Teen Ink
I wrote this piece because me and my family just recenly went on a vaction in Florida, and got the chance to go on a charter boat. I caught a lot of different fish, but my most memeral one was, obvously, a Barracuda. I lived on a farm in Salem for twelve years of my life and am now currenly living in Rolla Mo, I enjoy fishing, but not as much as I enjoy playing soccer. Thankyou for considering my piece.
Sincerely,
Colin Cahill
