For Her
I fell in love with a girl
Who I won’t even begin to describe
Because that would generalize beauty
And I won’t even begin to describe
How it felt when she touched me
Because then you might feel just how harsh the world feels when you touch it
And I can’t explain why I smile
As soon as I see her,
As soon as I hear her name
I can’t explain the way she smells
Or why it feels like home
But I think I can safely say
‘Warm’
But I don’t think I have the words
