War
Apocalypse, as seen,
Through the ordinary eye of the ordinary man,
Hundreds of thousands of men, Dying
Bitter deaths,
It is humans killing humans.
Given are they, the dead of war,
The name of martyrs.
Do hell with martyrdom!
Say I, O bloody men,
Those who instigate
An unearthly a thing as war,
Motivating millions to kill and die,
None but the same men as them
Who want to go bach home.
None but the same men as them,
Who want to live a life, free of all madding duty.
Would they not have been bound,
Bound by the mere feeling of patriotism,
They would’ve had it all.
Say I, O bloody men,
Those who instigate
A thing as hated as war,
Dying is a man,
Whose friends await him,
Dying is a husband,
Whose wife awaits him,
Dying is a son,
Whose parents await him,
Dying is a human,
Whose life awaits him.
