A new house and old friends

Both bigger than I’m used to and

Echoing with empty space that

I don’t know how to fill.

A new stamp of world experience.

An adventure that I’d like to forget

But return to even still

Slipping into watery nightmares

And the pull of distant laughter and

Distant terror, now

Of the space I’m too watery to fill.

I'm returning to my true home, Colorado, after living for a year in California. This piece deals with the fear I have of having to reconstruct my identity.

Congrats, @Dylan_Writes15! I've never been to Colorado, but my mom used to live there. BTW, great poem! I know what it's like to move away from a place that's been your home for so long. You're not alone. Keep up the great work!
