What is a Friend
What is a friend?
A friend is someone who loves you.
They cheer you on even when you are the last person to pass the finish line,
They listen to your thoughts.
They don't ignore you,
They are always there,
in person,
in thought,
and in heart.
They raise you up when you're down,
They turn that frown upside down,
They make you laugh, smile, and cheer,
dance, sing, and love,
They care, they try to understand, and they are kind to you.
They stand up for you, they are proud of you.
They're the people laughing at you when you fall, but
they are also the people pulling you back up.
They leave sticky notes on your locker, telling you to Smile.
They are the sunshine when the sky is gray,
They are the laughter that breaks the tears.
They are the family you choose.
They are the people who you can count on,
The people who make you forget your fears.
The people who help make you, to create, and write, and add to your story.
They are the extra people in life that you couldn't live without.
The people who help you in the valleys and on the mountains.
Friends are there for you, they care about you, and they accept you.
So, my question is:
Are you a friend?
