nothing is ever as it seems. if you only look at the surface, you’ll never get to see what lies beyond it. if you dig, you could find a diamond underneath that ugly dirt. but there’s always a chance you may find something ugly underneath. if so, simply cover it back in dirt and move on. it never hurts to dig.

less is more. this is something my mom has said at least a million times. this rule works with absolutely anything. i often remind myself of this when i start to put on makeup in the morning. but seriously less is more.

it’s okay to say no. the word no is a complete sentence that will never need any justification or reasoning to stand alone. learn that if you say no and it makes someone mad, it definitely does not mean you should have said yes.
