This year I got punched at pride

I don't know what I expected but I guess it's too much to ask

for my life and well being not to be treated like a political opinion

You can't just treat my life like a fun "controversial topic"

My girlfried had to write an essay about the benefits of eugenics to pass her class

The school counselors are suprised when I say I want to shoot myself

they call my parents

But not when other people say they want to shoot me

that's just free speech

They say our school cultivates " an environment of acceptance"

The only accepting being done

is by the the minority students,

coming to terms with the fact nobody stands up for them

accepting the hate

because talking back is a lunch detention

because walking away is admitting defeat

because reporting the incident is oversensitive whining

And my heartbeat is a voting topic

For which voting against is patriotic
