A Place Called Home
Your touch upon my skin sent shivers down my spine
I'll never forget your warm embrace
Your heart beating against mine
This feeling is something I continue to chase
Reminiscing on those wild nights
How could I have fallen so fast
It was love at repeated sight
I found something within you
Something kind and warm
I guess I'm a hopeless romantic
Because I don't know what to do
It felt like home when I was between your arms
Within your eyes I found fire
Burning so beautifully
Dancing so rhythmically
It was in that small moment I knew
I had to have you
And all in one day
My heart was played
It's sometimes hard to be near you
Because your eyes remind me of a place I once knew.
It was kind and warm.
Sometimes I think of you at night
Still, crushed, still broken hearted.
Yet, sometimes yearn to go back
- Home.
