Survivng and thriving
Watching you there smiling even though it was obvious you were weak
Broke my heart to not see you around and about but kept my head high and pushed through it
Whipping the tear as it fell from my cheek
Hoping this was all a dream and everyone was an actor going along with a skit
Stood by your side and held your hand not wanting anyone to speak
In my head asking god why, why the woman with such a bold and bright spirit
Closing my eyes in sadness not taking a peek
But somehow she lifts my head with a smile keeping me in high spirits
An answer to a unknown question is what you seek
Even though gods hopes and happiness has no boundaries for those who walk in his image
Remember that god always got your back when things get rough and unbearable
Just another trial set up to test your faith and strength
True working servants of god are unbreakable
Be grateful little girl because things could be much terrible
