Water-colored Fantasies
  As she painted her picture,
  She included his reticent smile.
  It danced in between the pages;
  And all along her fingertips.

  As she sung her calming song,
  She had belted out his name.
  It flowed beauty from her lips;
  And her hat caught dollar bills.

  As she wrote her silent feelings,
  She wrote most of the insipid day.
  It was pensive thought until it waned away;
  And the ideas were of Poe and Frost.

  As she winded down for the day,
  She looked closely at the frame.
  For its picture held her love;
  And that is what he had left her for.
