Familial Misuse

She played out dreams through dolls each day
Her polished land of hope
Home secret of lace silhouette
Her only way to cope

“This is the love you’re deprived of”
Her father said in rage
“Be a good girl, twirl baby twirl”
She cringes under age

That’s not it, there’s more to commit
Like father like brother
These clowns get passed down
Yet preys for another

The little girl plays with her pearls
Innocent as can be
Living a life ending in strife
One day she will flee

I have been abused myself, but what really triggered this writing piece was a friend of mine.  She went through so much and still continues to endure such horrifyingly inhumane abuse.  I am writing through the eyes of an abused girl and what it's like to be dominated, especially in family traditions, such  as.  Victims of abuse tend to run away and spend much of their captivity, whether physical or just mentally controlled, dreaming of a way to escape.
