It's not that I don't like to talk,
or that I have no words to be said.
I have things I want to share,
but I keep them in my head.
Like the way the wind drifts over
and makes the tall grass sway,
or the way that ice cream tastes
on a hot summer's day.
It's a little party in my mind
that only I can attend,
and honestly it's less trouble
when I'm my only friend.
