Lonely man of lonely beginnings
And for a fleeting moment
I am sad

I remember times long past
When you were mine
And I needn't worry
Those days are gone

And then I remember
And I have no desire
For you to be here anymore
I am angry

I remember times long past
When you weren't with her
And you were mine
Those days are gone

Yet your smile still calls
I am too weak to resist
Such a smile is filled
With poison so sweet

I remember times long past
Where I wasn't afraid
Of your powerfulness
But those days are gone
