-Nicholas Sparks

I have a story
It’s a marvelous tale
That consists of three people
One female, two male

She has golden hair
And eyes bluer than the sky
That go grey like the clouds
Every time she begins to cry

She spent her life blinded
Purposely not wanting to see
In life how mean
Some people choose to be

So for the first time of her life
She let herself go
When in all of the previous years
She’d tell herself, “No”

She got one crush
And from the moment she said “Hi”
She promised herself
She wouldn’t force a “Bye”

She loved his eyes
“They’re hazel” he’d say
But every time she looked at him
She didn’t see him that way

She saw a gentleman
When he’d open the door
But her friends saw a jerk
They wanted to kick to the floor

The sad thing though,
Is that she was too blind to see
That what he was doing
Was making her weary

He’d hurt her once,
Then hurt her again
So she got used to the pain
Each time it got worse times ten

She grew tired
And tired still
She’d lost her motivation
She’d lost her will

And out of the darkness
And out of the grief
She opened her eyes
And there came great relief

He has chocolate- brown eyes
And is very tall
He’s such a loyal friend
He’d come in response to her call

He’d always been there for her
He could always make her smile
Even when it seemed
Like her life was in denial

She came to the large realization
That he’d been there all along
He even had classes with her
He was just hidden in the throng

She liked the way he was
With perfect teeth and short hair
But most of all
She liked how he really did care

She began to like him
And these feelings grew more and more
This made her pure
But others rotten to the core

She no longer cared
About the boy who caused her pain
After what she went through
Others might not be sane

She read poems and quotes
Trying to stay strong
When it felt like the world was breaking to pieces
When it all felt so wrong

She forgot about her crush
And just like the spring
Everything became blissful and new
And she became a cute, happy thing

She no longer has fear
She is no longer afraid
Of the crush she had
On the boy in a lower grade

Her new crush is in her crew
She sees him every day
He’s in her group of friends
And she’d like to keep it that way

But disappointment came
And she got very blue
When her best friend told her
“He doesn’t like you.”

The author's comments:
I had to write a ballad with a theme of tradgedy, love, or history for my language arts class. So, I decieded to do a tragic love story. But it's not even that. It's a Tragic Crush- Story.

It is better to write for yourself and have no audience than write for your audience and have no self.

Thank you! :) After I wrote it, I couldn't believe I'd done it! I guess it was easier to write down because it wasn't fictional! </3

" You want too much. you expect too much then when your hero disappoints you, your poor little heart gets crushed" <another quote>"If you don't earn respect when you're alive, you don't deserve it when you're dead."

I'm in love with this ballad :)
