The sun shines brightly to-day!
Look beyond the horizon
And gaze! Listen to the trumpets
play their joyous proclamation!
Behold naked Aestas once again!

But Caution with the season!
Lay not your eyes upon that amber tainted sky
But focus on the trickster clouds that try and hide.
Behold their mischief as they dance:
See how they dare to prance!

Then go! And I too shall follow!
Let us not bask under Helios’ golden star,
Let us skip and laugh between the clouds:
Hide between their sheets
And search beneath their shrouds.

Let me dance with the holy godess
Before her leaves change color,
And in turn let me show you
How to love another.

Oh lover, let us go
The sun is not eternal
Let us venture beneath the secrets
Let us sing beneath the stars!

A very Carpe Diem inspired poem regarding summer.
