As the melody flows through the air,
Making people smile,
I press the keys, I have a song to share,
I just love the sound,

The inspiring sound the keys whistle,
As I play with legato,
It calms the screech of a missile,
As I play my piano,

The keys hum a melody right into my ear,
It makes the people tap and waltz,
It's attracting souls near,
Let it go on, never let it stop,

It rocks a baby to deep sleep,
Bringing one to an unforgettable dream,
Performing magic, go with the flow,
As I play my piano.

The author's comments:
I wrote this years ago and I found it saved in my documents. I remember writing it after listening to a relaxing piano piece, I guess you can say it inspired me to write this poem.
