Ballad of Shadow
My love rides for the dawn
 Of a brand new day,
 For lies before him
 Of blood I say

 Of Shadow,
 And what once was
My love rides for the night
 Nor sleep he does

 He waits for me
 In my darkest dream
 Of shield and spear,
 And sword doth gleam

 Hair of raven wing
 And eyes lest see
 The dangers foretold
 Of his love for me

 Of sorrow,
 And the ends of time
 For on his lips
 A speechless rhyme

 My love rides for death
 Only do I bequeath,
 Oh hear the arrow
 Of a bow relieved

 To shatter,
 Of bone and soul
 Oh how the gilded
 Bells shall toll

 And blood shall spill,
 Oh blood shall spill
 And stain the ground
 That drinks thy fill

 My love shall sleep
 While tears I cry,
 For only now
 Do death I die

 Of shadow,
 And what once was
 My love I weep
 And sleep he does.
