The Tragedy of the Wolf and Sheep
The wolf saw me the sheep
and he threw on his sheepskin
 But he felt wrong,
 exposed himself after examining
That wolf grinned with his bristly fur and teeth gleaming half a mile
And unsure of what had happened, I revealed a smile
This wolf attempted to lure me to his pack, because I had let him come close
But that was unavoidably his nature, he knew nothing else
But I simply refused and he let me trot away,
Silently he watched and wondered why he didn’t make me stay
This wolf, so blind to the fate he would have led me to
I felt sorry for him, if only he was a sheep too
His soul so young and foolish, but undoubtedly pure
Did not match his appearance, golden eyes, yet coarse fur
I grew to love that wolf and often wanted to run to his pack
I thought maybe I could join it, and be one, nothing I thought I lacked
But then, I was also very young, as well as naive
I could never be a part of the wolf pack, because I was a sheep
The wolf, understanding a little more, steered me away from his hungry kin
He looked with sad eyes as he turned me away again and again
Maybe he wished I was a wolf, or he was a sheep
But we both knew, we were what we were and distance we had to keep
Soon his pack moved on, along with him and I said goodbye
To my friend the wolf ,while wishing things could be different,
  the sheep started to cry
