Keys
Your music can be played to sound so sincere
Your music can be played to sound like something of fear
Your music can be played to sound full of cheer
Fingers dance off of your keys quickly
Yet you capture the sound of a waltz so perfectly
Your talent of singing chords
Reminding us of what we could not speak with words
You unclip our wings and show us how we can soar
Notes on a black and white page
Nothing became something with feeling
You’ve turned that into Music
Nothing was what those dots and lines on a page once were
Because they are nothing without you
Music is something words will never be able to fully captivate
But I do know one thing
That all of that
Is nothing without the only one that can allow it to be played
You are a piano
You can be Grand or Spinet
You can speak volumes even when you are quiet instead of loud
And you show what people cannot put into words
You give someone a voice by speaking yours.
