Calico Comma and Silent Semicolon
The calico comma called cute commonly,
and the skinny semicolon seen in small amounts,
the comma struts with its tail low,
the semicolon walks with its head high.
The comma comes between,
it demands attention like a queen,
and the words in a line
are happy to let it split the crowd.
The semicolon watches, bony and tall,
but looks for a empty space,
like between two rooms it finds it place,
standing in the hall.
The rooms beside it are so different,
words that decorated independent and apart,
but went to the same furniture mart.
The comma is like a celebrity,
words stay quiet to let it walk,
they don’t want to deter,
but the ones who it’ll prefer
are like However and Although, interject as others talk.
The semicolon is silently mysterious,
people wonder, stare and talk,
when But and For are gone,
it seems to suddenly spawn.
Back at home,
when they two are alone,
the semicolon feeds the comma,
because they meet often.
