The universe must be a teenage girl. So much darkness, so many stars.

September, gently she has come

Warm on moon rings

And the prophecies written on grassy buses

Fade into another tune

September, gently she has come

Light-toed with apple kisses she will run

For the shorter days grow brighter

As the whisper of the cider

Squeezed into the brimming cup

Trickles down to tangy drops

In the whiskered sun.

September, gently she has come

A few leaves and pumpkins outside the door

Leafless wind too empty for hearts

Soon the cold will be calling, falling

On the neighbor’s floor.

September, gently she has come

I’ll soon wonder where she has gone.

Oh, coverlet of white snow

Conceived of September’s first cold

Tell me where the friends have gone

Friends were once as tangy as cider

They have changed like a radio station

Or else they hibernate like bees.

You’ll find the friends again

Not all, maybe some

Maybe some.

September, gently she has come.

Maybe you are searching among the branches, for what only appears in the roots

"It Will Be Good." (complicated semi-spiritual emotional story.)

"Upon his bench the pieces lay
As if an artwork on display
Of gears and hands
And wire-thin bands
That glisten in dim candle play." -Janice T., Clockwork[love that poem, dont know why, im not steampunk]
