Night Sky
A lonely night drive, with no cars in sight.
In the rearview mirror, the moon shines bright.
Stars litter the nothingness above.
The nothingness shifts and the light breaks through.
The moon and stars shift and the sun rise.
The day goes by fast an the night appears slow.
The moon rises from the ocean and lights the new sky.
The people come and go and the stars fade.
The night ends again.
The moon’s detail is blurry and blank as the day goes by shadowed by the sun
The sun comes up and the lights on the street turn off.
The moon sits in the sky alone, in the light, just a blur.
When the people have gone, the stars light the sky again.
The moon and stars appear before the the sky and stay.

My love for the night sky and how I was inspired to write this piece. I hope that people will read this piece and go out and explore the world at night.
