Baby Blue, Midnight Blue

I am a soft baby blue:
gentle, loving, and caring.
Making others smile and have a warm feeling inside.
Only the closest people have seen dusk midnight blue:
grim, lethal, and catastrophic.
Making myself question and have an aching feeling inside.
I present baby blue all of the time––
masking my inner midnight blue.
