Four Seasons
Frosty air and cutthroat temperatures slice through bone and shatter hope with the same icy knife that destroyed those born from it. The sharp metallic taste lingers like the brittle inevitable season each year.

Fragile snowflakes melt away
Into beautiful life
Sickly sweet perfume replaces the frozen glaze of Death with a kaleidoscope of life rippling from its edges. A transition of bountiful existence drips like the honeysuckle bursting from its roots.
Swamping heat of
The hardened light grows stronger
As the clock ticks by
Golden rays and vivid greens cascade over cotton clouds with effortless harmony. Strings of heat and hues of skies mix with the beads of moisture clinging to the blades of grass.
When colors grow full
And the symphony hits its peak
The petals finally fall
Crisp sounds of crushed leaves mix with the sharp breaths hitched in the throats of those waiting to create uneven patterns of anticipation. A dark abyss looms over the naive heads of age silently waiting to finally strike.
With one final blow
The deadly scythe of Winter
Makes its last rounds
