Heat and humidity,
Freezing and stiff.
What happened to those days running through the trees?
The thin sweatshirts, and barefeet,
The smell of sweet, fresh air.

Shorts and Tank tops,
Fluffy coats and mittens.
What happened to my lush green forest?
The sticky sap, and rough bark,
The sight of a brilliant, warming sun.

Flat hills and brown-green grass,
Big hills and hard concrete.
What happened to my glorious mountain ranges I saw all those days?
The prickly needles and big cones,
The sound of large, rustling branches in the evening.
