I looked up in the night sky,
Which seemed so high,
And I wondered who made it so.
It was me, said the moon.
I couldn’t believe my ears!
I have never heard such a thing in all my years!
I decided to ask yet another question,
To see if he would continue this session.
Who started the world and all of its life?
Who created war and all its strife?
It was me,
Said he.
No, no, you must be deceiving!
You’re the one who created this grieving.
It was me,
Said he.
Are you the one who took my wife away,
And made me the saddest man to this day?
It was me,
Said he.

My teached told us to write a 20 line poem and the first thought that came to my mind was "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. I thought that I would take the idea of saying nevermore and plug it in to my poem somehow. That is how I got the idea on a man ranting his pain to the moon.
