Seconds go by
Minutes go by
Hours go by
Through all the numbers your hands fly
Don’t go so fast
Everything is in the past
I’m losing control
I envy your control
You know all
You decide all
When this will end
When that will begin
Oh why will you not clue me in
You have all the answers
I just need to know
Why will you never be slow?
Does spending all day watching you
Waiting in anticipation slow you down
It would seem that way but am I missing out
Perhaps ignoring you is best
Live life as if a clock is not controlling the rest
