Where I'm From
I am from White Laced Sneakers
from warm pizza and perfumes.
I am from the high-ceilinged home
bright, sparkling,
It sounded like summer.
I am from the beautiful butterflies,
the berry bushes
whose berries were bright and ripe.
I’m from the Christmas Holiday and Milk Chocolate hair,
from mom and dad and brothers.
I’m from the loving family and all-nighters.
I am from the Tooth-fairy and Easter Bunny.
I’m from giving full respect, from believing in equal rights.
I’m from the house on Long Island,
Greek salads and Lamb,
From the many laughs and memories.
I am from an amazing family with jokes indescribable.
I am from creativity, the only live once life.
