With Apologies to Mother Nature
Spring has sprung
And so has my boredom
The most awful time of the year
The one with all the beauty
Not that I don't like flowers
Breezes, warm weather
The cool, dry atmosphere
Something really awful happens in spring
Not really sure what
People often tell me
"It's beautiful outside! What a great day!"
Not so great for me when allergies come to play
"Go outside and frolic! Go wander about!"
Hard to do that when school's got me burnt out
Piles and piles of work
As high as the Empire State
It's hard to finish every piece of work
When more is constantly put on my plate
My allergies suck
Medicine never helps
Trying to survive each dreadful day
Barely caring about anything else
All my focus goes to survival
Hey, summer's around the corner!
No more school
Only some allergies
I get boardwalks, beaches, and all that stuff
As you can see I've got a bias
For summer over spring
But as it is for many people
It's really just not my thing
