We were all so young
Not thinking about anything
Just having fun
It’s kinda funny how life works
One day you're here and the next you’re a corps
Alcohol and driving is never good
But nothing was going to happen to us
We are indestructible, remember?
I guess not that September
You were my best friend, how could I do this to you
Your life was in my hands
And I took that from you
I'm sorry I was driving, I'm sorry I was drunk
We all thought it would be funny if you sat in the trunk
That bridge was never there before, I swear
This day is becoming my worst nightmare
I felt a sharp pain as we hit the side
The car started to roll over and over
And I still don’t know why
Did I swerve to miss an animal or another car
Did we just go down the road to far
All I saw was red blood
What is going on
What had I just done
My eyes had opened everyone was rushing
I could hear other doctors fussing
“Car accident, car rolled over a bridge” I hear them say
After a while they had fixed me up
I only had a few minor injuries
Nothing compared to what you had to pay
I asked about you
But they had nothing to say
I felt so guilty I wanted to cry
They told me that you had died
I could feel the sweat on the palm of my hands
When the doctors came in and said he had no chance

This is something that my mom went through in high school and has taught me lessons in my life.
