Her message

December 11, 2016

It was morning
Her eyes opened to the sound of a beeping
Barely any light coming through the windows
Her Legs thrown over the bed to hit the cold floor
Her Feet cold as ice
Walked to the bathroom, light on
looked in the mirror to see her dull eyes once again
To the closet of dark clothes
Another pointless outfit for another pointless day
Makeup packed on face to hide the things people don't want to see
To school walking the halls
Eyes every corner and in every room
Looking up, down, left and right
First bell goes,
Billions of bodies moving up and down the halls as if the school was new york
to just sit in a room for 1 hour
Then another room for another hour
then again to another room for a hour
Lunch bell goes
The feet that were moving slowly in the beginning,
Now racing to the cafe and other places to get food
Some would crack the joke of “I guess that's why we are called the human race”
Walking fast in the hallways don't look into anyone's eyes
Don't make contact, stay silent, don't be noticed
Headphones in, music turned up all the way
Laughed with her friends to make them smile,
Not for herself
Another bell goes,
The bodies move
She watches
she thinks of how it could be different if things in her past went differently
Another 3 hours go by
Each class she sits
Looking up at the clock any chance she can get
Looking at her papers doodling on them
The bell goes again
She races to the bus to have a seat to herself
By herself, alone
Headphones in, full blast
Last off the bus
She was a forced one
She was at a house, not a home
To her room she went
Door closed and locked
her father home
Put the smiling mask back on
Be the daughter she's meant to be
Behind her closed door,
Her secrets were
In the shower she thought
Her thoughts all clustered
Out of the shower
Wiped the mirror and saw what everyone else saw
A girl who didn't mean anything
The girl some were scared of
The girl some were creeped out by
The girl some hated
She was the girl no guy or anyone wanted
Friend she did have, but none saw how broken she was
She laid on her bed
Her pillow soaked from her tears
Eyes red  from crying
Her night was over.
Until morning.
