Ginger
There once was a family. A father and mother that dearly loved their son, Tye. They were and American family that lived on a peaceful ranch in Brazil. They lived a little less than 100 miles away from the Amazon river and rainforest. Every once and awhile, Tye and his father would go camping and fishing together in the jungle, by the river. One morning before dawn cracked, Tye woke up in the tent because he heard a noise. He nudged on his dad to come check it out with him but he was passed out. Tye hopped out of the tent and saw a leopard and two baby leopards. The Mother was getting attacked by an alligator. One of the babies got away and Tye ran after it. His dad woke up and ran after Tye. Tye grabbed the baby leopard and The leopard cuddles up to him. His dad is caught up to him and saw the leopard. Tye asks if we can keep him. “I’m okay with it but you have to name him.” His dad answered.
The drive back from the rainforest took a couple of hours. Tye’s mom was a little mad but she was distracted by how cute the leopard was. “I’m going to name him ginger.” Tye shouted.
As the years went by Ginger was getting really big. The original plan was from Tye and his dad to go back to the amazon and set ginger free because he was getting too big to keep. “We’ll camp out, do a bit of fishing, then set Ginger free into the wild we’re he belongs. Tye wasn’t happy about it but he knew it was logical and it was for Ginger’s good..
Tye’s father was going to a lot of doctor’s appointments. Tye’s dad had cancer and his disease was getting worse everyday. Tye was worried. One evening Tyes father was sitting on the back porch with Ginger and the leopard could sense his death was on the way. That very night at 3 in the morning, Tye woke up to ambulance and paramedic sirens at his front door. Tye runs out of his room falling into his mother’s arms she was crying.
Life went on. Tye was sad that his dad wasn’t there anymore but at least he still had his mother and Ginger. His mother had been looking for a new place to live in the city because she didn’t want to live on the farm without her husband. Tye didn’t like that idea at all. They sold the ranch and moved to the city. When they got into their apartment they had to get rid of Ginger. They illegally put Ginger in the hotel with them until they had the time to set him free.
It was Tye’s first day going to school And he was being bullied a lot. When Tye’s mother left for work, she left the door open and ginger got out. Ginger ran across the city to find Tye. He immediately found him. Tye looked outside and saw Ginger sitting there staring at him. “I have to go!” He said to the teacher. The teacher said no but he just ran out anyway. He ran to get Ginger before anyone could see Ginger. But it was too late. As he was running There was an alarm and all of the students were running the opposite direction as Tye. Tye had to Get to Ginger before the cops went after him. When he finally got out of the giant crowd of people, he saw Ginger running away. He followed him about a mile away from the school. Until they were both alone. “We have to take you back Ginger.” Tye cried. He took Ginger back to the house. His mom wasn’t home from work yet. Tye wanted to go that very minute alone. He took his dad’s motorcycle and drove. He brought a lot of water, food and ginger. The motorcycle ran out of gas when they were about 20 miles away from where he wanted to go. He started walking and pushing the bike with ginger in the passenger unit. He walked about 3 miles. He had to take a break. Tye realized that he only had a liter of water left. He walked all the next day and ditched the bike. All he had left was just a little bit of water left and ginger. They had to cross the river. Tye built a small raft to get across. They got into they water and started drifting. While tye was laying down in the raft, Ginger was very alert and scared. Suddenly an alligator bumped the bottom of the boat and they both fell in the water. There were hundreds of alligators under Tye and Ginger. Tye was decapitated. Months and years passed. Tye’s mother went crazy for a while but then found a new family.
