On that field i'm home
Freshly cut grass,
raked dirt
The sound of the bat

On that field I'm home
It's where my worries wash away and memories are made
I love it
The rush I get when stepping onto that freshly chalked field is like no other

On that field I'm home
It's where I hit my first home run
It's where I dislocated my kneecap
It's where enthusiasm overcomes dullness

On that field i'm home
Where teammates become family
Where everyone wants you to be outstanding
Where friends are made
And foes are played

On that field i'm home
Head first slides
Close plays
Home runs

On that field i'm home
Broken ribs
Torn ACLS
And displaced knee caps

On that field i'm home
The cheering of the crowd
The parents Hollering
The coaches awarding players their positions
There truly is no place like home!
