My Eyes
Taunting and gloating
Up on high yellow pedestals
Preaching corruption and sick habits
That dwell on for far too long
They cackle and they rub their hands together in greed
And I sneer at their perilous madness-
Big baby bastards in yellow basinettes and bibs
Barbarians, they are barbarians who rip through high society
Grabbing a young woman’s breast and yanking
Out her dignity and life and threw it away
Towards the bloodless sea
They feared righteousness so they
Pillaged and plundered
And killed my soul as I screamed out
The battle is done but the war is over
I am victorious atop the mountain
Of pale furry pearls and defeat
I am the scream beyond the dreams
Of mad men and death
I am the tears of young men gone right
And women tattered, in casts, in flight
I am the eyes of the world.
