After Love
One happy but
lost
Girl…
The story began with proper love or saying NO!
An “I love you” or letting go…
This is what we call a life lesson or a BULLET in the heart.
I was disappointed in myself.
I didn’t realize the pain until after.
How could we go on loving someone who gives us the present that feels like a punch in the gut?
Was it me or my imagination?
The joy, the smooth taste without the sugar,
But...the dying stress, cheap thrills and smiles.
Now I have to be done, AFTER LOVE.

This poem is based off the hurt and struggle of a relationship and what it feels like to be in a relationship thats just one sided or having to give up someone you love but they don't feel the same.
