and, savoring a success story dinner of mac n cheese

SADNESS is…
the loss of a loved one no matter the cause
fining a wound that can't be covered with gauze
its your house burning down in the middle of the night
and, knowing the fire squad put up a good fight

FEAR is…
walking into school your freshman year
not knowing if your classes are far or near
its walking home from your friends house at dusk
just because your mom forgot to pick you up

HAPPINESS is…
going to dinner at grammys on sunday
hoping to do that for my kids one day
its having a family that loves and cares
and, celebrating the memories they all share
