Where I want to start telling is the day I left Pencey Prep. Pg.2
It was pretty funny, in a way. Pg.3
I mean I’ve left schools and places I didn’t even know I was leaving them. Pg.4
I hate that. Pg.4
I was lucky. Pg.4
I ran all the way to the main gate, and then I waited a second till I got my breath. Pg.5
It got on your nerves sometimes. Pg.7
“It’s full of phonies, and all you do is study so that you can learn enough to be smart enough to be able to buy a goddam Cadillac some day, and you have to keep making believe you give a damn  if the football team loses, and all you do is talk about girls and liquor and sex all day, and everybody sticks together in these dirty dirty little goddam cliques. Pg. 131
You never saw so many phonies in all your life Pg. 126
It’s a terrific bore. Pg. 130
and I said to her, “Why don’t you go on over and give him a big soul kiss, if you know him?”P127
He didn’t hesitate to horn in on my date, the bastard. Pg. 128
So I went in a phone booth and called her up Pg. 116
What I really felt like, though, was committing suicide Pg. 104
So long! Pg. 204
Nobody was around at all Pg.200
I decided I’d go away Pg. 198
I decided I’d never go home again Pg. 198
It would’ve made you puke, I swear it would Pg. 168
