Poem
A fixed program that we are required to go to
7 dreadful subjects everyday to go through
Homework till nine
The rub off of some teachers can send shivers down your spine
Days that will never end
And no time to see good friends
I take too much stuff to carry
And it’s scary to go through 8th grade territory
A whole day of school is like 2 years in jail
Where all you see is people doing their hair and biting their nails
I see students who inflamed there temper
who don’t pay attention but are not offenders
Five grades to go
But I’m just taking it slow
Like rain finding it’s way to the ground
I see familiar faces all around
Friends are who I admire
They’ll be with us for 1,000 miles
Tomorrow takes us to learn new things
but we don’t listen because it’s spring
But without this fixed program
I wouldn’t be writing this poem
So don’t take it for granted
Because this is a crazy journey, and you wouldn’t want to miss it
