10 Things I know to be True
Evil lurks in every corner of your mind
It grabs hold of your brain
An enemy of the worst kind
And impossible to restrain
Hate drives humans to do inhumane acts
It is an incurable illness
The bearer can never relax
All we can do is to stand witness
Pain can only devour
From the worst wound, to the smallest scape
Makes the toughest man cower
And death is the only escape
Grief is inevitable in life
It cannot be avoided
All are affected by strife
And all are left disjointed
Regret is the child of grief
Sometimes crippling, and sometimes welcomed
It is life’s thief
But in the end, it is always settled
Sorrow is similar to regret
Spawning sadness and pain
Victims are always in distress
Sorrow always is in reign
Sadness and sorrow go hand in hand
We can protect from others, but not ourselves
Coming and going without command
Flitting around like an elf
Depression affects many souls
You are always alone
You will never achieve your goals
And become an old crone
Insignificance makes you feel less than you are
Like you’re the lowest of the low
Leaving you with a unhealing scar
Always needing to go with the flow
Hopelessness is like a annoying person
It will never stop pestering you
You will feel your self control weaken
As others see less of the person they once knew
