Fatuous thoughts
circle his mind
vexatious colloquy
his gob escapes
fear secretes my pores
trembles run through my body
terror seizes my mind
yet apathy guises my face
I recoil to its embrace
engulfed by ire
it pushes on
“I am honorable” is bellowed
But wasn't Brutus an honorable man?
And, did he not destroy?
he created wretched cries
I have no comfort
my smile lies
