Escape the Wave
Why do we always follow the larger crowd
Caught in a infinite wave of fitting in
What if we escaped and were free to be loud
What if we weren’t afraid to let down our grin
What if we all wanted to be different
Maybe if this happened everyone could win
What if we didn’t abuse the ignorant
Or all shy away from the poor crying man
And didn’t pretend to be indifferent
What if we stop instead of saying we ran
And instead remember that people have grace
If we let everything go maybe we can
We can make our great world a much better place
One day peace can reign all if this is the case

This is a Terza Rima Poem I wrote in a class. It follows a specific rhyme scheme and syllable count, can you figure it out?
