The Path of the Trees
Pure white snow
only disturbed by my footprints.
Why do they not lead in front of me?
All I must do is turn back
then I will have a path,
but what if I wish not too?
What will I do.
Would I dare
walk a path not yet taken?
Why is it these branches look like fingers to me?
Maybe they will help guide me.
Is it that I am so desperate that I may take advice from a tree?
Twisted and gnarled they may be,
they are so beautiful.
Can it be that I may take the path of the trees?
