Better Times
In this memory, you are amazingly beautiful
I joke that your hair is black, although you say it’s brown.
Your hand warms me, even in the coldest of places.
Yet ever since that day, my heart has been like a weight.
You made me feel special, making my heart skip beats at the thought of you; until it all went downhill, and your interest for me died.
“I think we should be just friends now”
Reading the message, I had to wipe the tears off onto my sleeve.
I only wish that we could’ve seen each other more.
Snowball misses you, but not nearly as much as I do.
I have been left with less and less things to say.
For me, remembering the good times, is all that I can think.
Those days hanging out in the smelly horse barn, seeing your brown eyes, that’s what made me happy.
Those memories I have are echoes in a cave.
“I love you so much,” we would yell from the rooftops.
My saudade feelings for you leave me with hope that we can get back together; yet in the end, I know that it will never happen, and that our time is over.
