SALUTE THEE WOMEN, SALUTE

The raging Phoenix subdued
By chains forged in heart of illogicality
Her cries silenced
Age’s long opportunity, chance refusing her flatly

She ties in vain, her shouts muffled
Oh alas, but no more for ….

Heavy chains of eternal damnation hath broken
Absconding flight almost achieved
For  world in slumber have awaken
The nightmarish ordeal finished

I salute thee women, I salute thee.

Raging Phoenix head held high, deep scars ignored, flies she
Proving her worth world across

Now fearless she stands
Feminism in its truest form
Holding destiny in her hands
Brave Amazon warriors guard the gates of Rome.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with world’s bravest
With success in her grasp she awaits to serve motherland

I salute thee women, I salute thee.
