A Shipman's Song
Hail we sing to the glorious nation.
Our sublime flag is risen high.
A sea of navy is ordered in congregation.
On the dock we stay and hear our battle cry:
“March!” Said the main with the white cap,
So our group had to shift to rows to modify.
We stepped onto the vessel in honor of our democrat.
Proud to serve for our great country,
I turn back to the land and solute to that.
“And halt!” Uttered the man bluntly.
Once again we lift the jack,
And sail away all so humbly.
We as a fleet stand in a pack,
As again we sing to the glorious nation.
