I knew it was near
i know i cry because i fear
you wont always be here.
to hold my hand when things go wrong,
just to sing a silly song.
that told me stories growing up,
teaching me to be myself
teaching me how to behave
telling me always be brave.
life goes on, we have to accept that.
not that easy, you might regret that.
before you know it
their gone.
the person that you belonged.
now your not here.
the person that was so dear.
but now to me its clear.
i always knew that death was near.
